Airshow in Zagreb, Croatia 30/08/2010
Sunday, August 29, 2010 was a big day for Croatian aviation - tens of thousands of people gathered on the Lucko dropzone near Zagreb to celebrate the 100th anniversary of flight in Croatia. It was a spectacle not to be missed – plane and glider exhibitions, parachute jumpers and an impressive air race left the viewers breathless.
One of the biggest highlights of the show was certainly Robert Pecnik's Wingsuit jump. He jumped from 4,000 ft and made a nice speed pass over the crowd, leaving a red smokey trail behind him and opening the parachute at only 500 ft.
The crowd awarded him with a big applause of amazement, and his most eager fans were undoubtedly the kids, who quickly surrounded him after landing, wanting to have their picture taken with the Bat Man (not to be confused with the superhero!).
Hopefully, it won't take another 100 years before we have another air show like this!
