2010 Hungarian Wingsuit Comp 09/08/2010
Phoenix-Fly would like to congratulate Croatian Bozidar "Zeppelin" Pergar with his first place at the wingsuit competition in Hungary. With a soft push in the back from the prevailing winds, he flew his Stealth2 at a great 2,74 glideratio average, scoring a 2.8 glide on his best jump.
Serbian Branislav Acimovic got up to a nice 2nd place, flying the PF Vampire 3 at a 2.46 glideratio. 6 of the top 10 spots where occupied by people flying Phoenix-Fly suits, varying from the V3, to Phantom, to Stealth2.
Alex Scheidt deserving a special mention, as it was his first competition, and up until the last round he was in 4th place (also flying his Stealth2).
PF representative Alejandro Lopez participated in the boogie, and did first flight courses and load organizing. During one of the the down days with bad weather, Alejandro gave a long presentation on formation skills and aerobatic wingsuit maneuvers. All in all a great success, and PF hopes to see this competition format continue with many more long and far flights for the years to come.
Up next in the performance competition calendar is SkyJesters Wings over Marl, scheduled for 13, 14, 15 August (coming week).
Good luck and success to all participants there as well!
